Get Samsung Galaxy S2 Review
Last year we reviewed the Samsung Galaxy S and said it the best phone on the market along with the iPhone 4. The funny thing is, it still probably is, until now...
Why? Because the best phone just got better.
It's hard to think that a phone can get better, but in all honesty, Samsung have done a fantastic job, and this really leaves the iPhone 4 in the lurch.
Immediately, the main thing you notice is the totally unbelievable screen. This has increased from an enormous 4 inches to a gigantic 4.3 inches, equalling the HTC Desire HD and therefore this is now the largest screen on any mobile phone. The unfortunate aged Apple iPhone 4 has only 3.5 inches of display. But it's not merely dimensions that count. The Galaxy S2 implements a new technology named Super AMOLED Plus, which is brilliant in its vividness and clearness. The Super AMOLED display of the first Galaxy S was way in front of most mobile phones, so to jump ahead to yet a further bracket of display technology is tremendously remarkable. The only thing that the iPhone 4 now has over the Galaxy S2, is that it's resolution is slightly higher.
The overall area of the phone has developed to provide for the puffed-up display, but the phone still holds in the hand adequately owing to its unbelievable thinness. At only 8.5mm, it's the slimmest phone in the marketplace. Underneath the monitor you'll find a solitary home key flanked by two touch-sensitive keys for the Menu and Back. It's a discreet plan that gives you all you want. At 116g the smartphone is quite unsubstantial for such a powerful machine, since a machine it really is, and that's credit to the synthetic assembly. So it is short of the masterclass feel of metal, but steers clear of the reception troubles that have inundated the iPhone 4 and as well to a little degree the HTC Desire S. Something named Gorilla Glass is applied to defend that amazing Super AMOLED Plus screen.
The operating system is the most recent version of Android - 2.3 (Gingerbread). Android is our crown option for mobile phone OS, and worldwide sales of Android phones appear to be surpass iPhone rather unfalteringly. The amount of apps on hand has exceeded 100,000 and is going to nurture faster and faster.
Overall, the Samsung Galaxy S2 is a quite remarkable phone, and as of writing, the best mobile phone on the market. So, from amongst all the mobile phone reviews we have done, we'd give this a 4.5 out of 5.
